Film enthusiasts have the chance to kick their post-Christmas blues, as some of the most spectacular show-stopping tunes fill Ditchling Village Hall on January 17 and January 18.
Fans of toe-tapping music are invited to come along to Cabaret on the Common.
From Burt Bacharach’s ‘What the World Needs is Love’ to My Fair Lady’s ‘I Could Have Danced All Night’, Michel Legrande’s ‘I Will Wait for You’ to ‘Maria’ from West Side Story, the evening promises a wide array of music from the biggest and best-loved shows.
Staged by Guy Dudeney and Jane Pemberton, with music provided by the Simon Gray Band and dancers from Fame, the programme also includes the sounds of Irving Berlin and Jerry Herman. The cast includes swing singer Duncan Allen, young tenor Calum Jones, Ollie Wray, Susan Fleet, Linda Jordan, Victoria Brewer and John O’Connor.
Guests are encouraged to bring along their own drinks and canapés. All funds raised will go to St Peter’s and St James Hospice in Wivelsfield.
Tickets cost £12.50 and doors open at 7pm for 7.15pm. To book your tickets please contact Jane Pemberton at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01444 243163.
