Chance to laugh for charity

Joel Dommett headlines the latest Charity Chuckle in Brighton, with support from Lara A King, Sean McLoughlin, Joseph Morpurgo, Julie Oliver and Littlehampton’s Jack Bullough (Brighton’s Latest MusicBar, Manchester Street, Tuesday, February 12, 8.30-11pm, 01273 678171).

Spokeswoman Kerry Herbert said: “We saw headliner Joel Dommett at a Late Nighter at the Edinburgh Festival and we were blown away.”

Support comes from: Sean McLoughlin, 2009 Student Comedian of the Year finalist; Julie Oliver, new act from Brighton, reminiscent of Catherine Tate; and Jack Bullough, tipped as one to watch!”

Money raised will go to a good cause. Charity Chuckle is Brighton’s first charitable comedy night.

Running since June 2009, the organisers, Jim Holland and Kerry Herbert, have made over £8,000 for different small local charities in the Brighton and Hove area.

The organisers have also introduced some of the best new comedians to Brighton including Josh Widdicombe, David James and Hannibal Buress (USA Best Club Comedian 2012).
