Brighton Fringe, now in its ninth year as an independent festival, is looking for fresh talent for 2014.

The festival runs for four weeks from May 3–June 1.

Spokeswoman Rosie Blackwell-Sutton said: “The window for online event registration is until January 31, and anyone wanting to showcase their talent at any venue from a bath tub to a large auditorium is welcome to sign up.

“Following the successful extension of Brighton Fringe in 2013, the open-access festival will again include an extra week in 2014, incorporating May half-term and both bank holidays.”

Rosie added: “New for 2014, Brighton Fringe is pleased to announce a reduction in fees for around 80 per cent of anticipated registrations.

“To date, Brighton Fringe has secured four funding schemes (with more to be confirmed) to support qualifying participants.”
