Adur Festival has confirmed a pair of £1,000 grants available for artists to produce a work for either the Southwick Street Party or Lancing Street Party at the conclusion of this year’s festival on June 13.
Spokesman Robert Heath said: “The grant is available to those living or working in Adur, and the work must be closely linked to the festival’s theme Food Of Love. Alongside the work at the street party, the project must include a free community engagement programme leading into the performance.
“The community engagement must include – but is not limited to – activity at the Fishersgate Centre during May half term for Southwick or activity at Sompting Big Local Hub for Lancing. Additionally, the project must be delivered within a realistic budget, and the street party work itself must be able to withstand bad weather.”
Email firstname.lastname@example.org for details and an application form. The deadline for submissions is 12pm, March 16. Registration for the festival closes on March 6. Visit www.adurfestival.co.uk to register and find out more.
