Wild nights and grim reality

Hurstpierpoint Players’ next show, SHAKERS Re-Stirred, is on at The Players Theatre from Tuesday, September 16, to Saturday, September 20.

The play by John Godber and Jane Thornton offers a wickedly funny insight into a trendy cocktail bar where wild nights out merge with grim reality.

Just four actresses play 30 different parts in this hilarious peek into the comings and goings in a fashionable establishment.

The waitresses open their hearts to us as they grapple with difficult customers, while the girls and lads on their respective nights out are just ready to have a good time.

People who are familiar with John Godber’s plays, such as Teechers or Bouncers, will recognise the mix of laughter and poignancy found in this play.

This production is presented as part of the 10th Hurst Festival.

Curtains up at 8pm (doors open at 7.30pm).

Tickets are £10 each and available from the Hurst Festival box office (in the Players Theatre Foyer).
