David Morley has paid this tribute:

"Very sad to hear about Dr Cameron. He was such a huge help to our family and did not falter for one second in his care for my mother. He was always so keen to help out and get her prescriptions sorted, over and over again, over many years.
"So, thank you, Dr Cameron for finally sorting out her problems once and for all - it wouldn't have happened without your help."

The Reynolds family said of Dr Cameron:

"Dr Cameron was our doctor for 25 years. He is part of our family and has seen all my children grow up, we will truly miss you, rest in peace."

Brenda Cope, of Horseshoe Close, Findon:
We feel very privileged to of known Dr Cameron. As our doctor, he was a very kind and caring doctor to my husband and I and our family. Our thoughts go out to Josn, his wife, and his family. He will be sadly missed.

Janice and Eric Christopher and family:
Dr Cameron has been our GP for more than 30 years. He was kind and caring to all our family. We will really miss him. Our thoughts are with Joan and the family. Rest in peace.

Pippa Russell, Medical Secretary to Dr Kate Fisher, Consultant Community Paediatrician, said:
I spent two great years 20 years ago living in the upstairs annex of the Cameron's house while doing my training at Northbrook College to be a medical secretary. Living in a house with a GP and nurse was the ideal environment when learning all the medical terminology needed to pass my course. I can remember many evenings spent with Joan and Edwin, checking my essays and projects for accuracy. Edwin had endless patience with me. I can also remember Sunday afternoons spent out with Edwin, Joan and the family in his pride and joy, Susie the vintage car -after it had been cleaned and polished to perfection. Edwin will be very sadly missed by a huge number of people and I have very fond memories of that time.

Andy, Trudi Jodie and katie Hockley said:
Myself and my family are so upset to hear of Dr Cameron's sudden death. I will always remember when I had my first daughter 13 years ago, she was my first child. It was my first evening at home after being in hospital for a week and I was concerned as she was constantly crying. I called for a doctor and I was so pleased it was Dr Cameron who came out. He took my daughter in his arms and walked up and down with her in my lounge for two hours until she fell asleep. He knew I had had a bad time delivering her and was tired. How many Doctors would do that? This is just one incident among others where he has shown what a special and caring person he was. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He had time for everybody and made everybody feel very special. Limetree Surgery will not be the same. Myself and my family feel very proud to have known such a very special man. He was our friend as well as our doctor. We will miss him so much.

Nicky and Iraj Farazjou said:
To a wonderful friend and excellent doctor. Always in our hearts and memories. We will never forget you. Simply the best.

Susan Stanley said:
I was shocked and saddened to hear of the death of Dr Cameron. My family have been patients of his for 22 years since we moved to Worthing. When I had a serious illness in 1992 he helped me get through a difficult period in my life and I have never forgotten his kindness and compassion. He will be hard to replace.

Maureen and Bill Rawlings, of Compton Avenue, said:
Words cannot express our shock and disbelief at the tragic loss of our wonderful doctor, Dr Cameron. His quiet unassuming manner always giving time for everyone. So thorough in diagnosis. He knew his patients and forged understanding relationships with them. No one could come close to the reputation, the trust and respect he had from his patients who regarded him not only as their doctor, but also as a friend. To his family - our thoughts are with you and we thank you for sharing him with us for more than 25 years.
