DEEP in the Sussex countryside lurks an awe inspiring beast - Ralph the giant continental rabbit.
He has made his home at the idyllic Sussex Horse Rescue Trust in Uckfield, where he shares his pen with some turkeys, ducks and a cat.

Ralph is only one year old, but given his pedigree parentage he could end up becoming the biggest bunny in the world!

His mother Amy, who died a few weeks ago, was the world's largest rabbit, weighing in at a hefty three stone.

The Sussex Express went along to meet Ralph and find out more about this unusual breed of bunny.
