We are both originally from Battle and Hastings and spent many years as children competing in the Hastimgs music festival before going to college.

Since we formed last summer we have put on several concerts successfully raising funds for charities such as st Michael’s Hospice and Help for Heroes, the most recent being our ‘women of opera’ concert series which was on in August and raised nearly £700 for st Michael’s Hospice.

We are looking this summer to be performing in London which is exciting but before then we have this Christmas’s ‘Carols by candlelight’ concerts coming up also in aid of st Michael’s. The concerts will be a mixture of beautiful Christmas songs such as Rutter’s ‘Christmas lullaby’ and well-known carols such as ‘The First Noël’ for everyone to sing along to. Mince pies, mulled wine and other festive treats will be Available at both venues.

The dates and times of the concerts are:

Saturday 21st of December at the orangery tearooms (7pm) and Sunday the 22nd at Battle Memorial hall (6pm). Battle memorial hall is the concert we’d really like to push as the orangery is selling quite well.

Ticket prices are: ADULTS £7 and CHILDREN £5 and tickets are available either online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/melodia , at the venues (see Jane at the memorial hall) or by phoning 07876565990.
