Award-winning big Blues artist

Local act King Size Slim (from Hastings) plays the Big Green Cardigan Festival in Cripps Corner on Saturday 6th September.

King Size Slim (aka Toby Barelli) is an explosive roots and blues guitar player who molds traditional standards and soaring compositions with a unique vocal attack and explosive musicianship.

The big warm tones from his resonator guitar, along with a powerful and direct vocal delivery are the trademarks of this singer-songwriter. Add rolling grooves with multi-layers of percussion and vocal, harmonica, hand-claps, foot-stomps, myriad shakers, perhaps even sweeping brooms and pots and pans... The result is a unique fat-roots style and sound, performed with passion and belief; percussive and dynamic in its nature, melodic and soulful in its heart. This music shouts loud and kisses sweet.
