Twelve-year-old Ellie Avient, of Arlington Avenue, Goring, auditioned for the opportunity in June and has been told she will dance the role of a Lady in Waiting to the Tsar of Russia for three performances at the King’s Theatre in Southsea on October 18 and 19.

Ellie, who attends the Worthing based South Coast Stage School and Nicola Miles Theatre Studios, said: “I was over the moon, I was so excited I never thought I’d get in as there were so many children. I couldn’t wait to tell all my friends because I knew they would be proud of me.”
