Bee Gees magic is stayin' alive!

IT'S a bit strange picking up the kids from school when you're a Bee Gee, especially when you're the 'big hairy one'. But that's Darren Simmons's fate in life.

"At first the other parents must have just thought I was a big hairy monster," he laughs. "A big hairy unemployed monster, because I was there so much."

But word spread that he was actually a member of Bee Gees tribute band Jive Talkin' '“ which prompted a few giggles.

"It's not actually something you can keep secret!" Nor would he want to. The group are at the top of the Bee Gees tribute tree and they will be offering their trademark tight harmonies and great melodies when Jive Talkin' '“ The Bee Gees Story hits the Chequer Mead Theatre, East Grinstead, on Friday, February 13.

Featuring Bristol brothers Darren and Gary Simmons as Barry and Robin Gibb and Weston-born Jarrod Loughlin, as well as a live band and live strings, it's a celebration of more than a quarter of a century of Bee Gees magic.
