Bexhill Association of National Trust Members

THE Bexhill Association of National Trust Members held its 36th annual meeting on Saturday, November 10 at the St Peter's Community Centre.

Mr Arland Kingston, president, chaired the meeting.

Mr Hans Heetveld, the Association's chairman, presented his report of a very active year and thanked retiring officers and committee members for their support. He paid tribute to two who sadly passed away during the year who were longstanding committee members, Mr Ron Roberts who was chairman of the lectures committee and Mrs Molly Ekins who was responsible for the popular sales table. It was planned to dedicate two rose bushes in the rose garden at Bateman's in their memories.

Mrs Janetta Looker, the treasurer, then presented her financial report which was unanimously adopted. The general secretary Miss Susan Ainscough had already presented her written report to the meeting outlining a busy programme of social activities through the year.
