The singer-songwriter will be on stage at Warmere Court care home’s summer fête, performing songs from his latest album, Hold You in My Arms.

Paul narrowly missed out on reaching the semi-finals of the 2015 series of the television talent show but has recently signed a deal with a record company in London and has also appeared in the ITV reality show Judge Rinder.

There will also be a performance from local singer Stacy Turner, who will be joined by schoolchildren from the Shine group.

The fête, at the Shaw healthcare home in Downview Way, will include a barbecue, drink and entertainment, including professional face painters.

There will also be a raffle, including autographs from Paul and donations from local businesses.

Mary Latter, manager, said: “One of our staff members knew Paul before his TV debut and asked him for a photograph as a raffle prize when we were first planning the fête.

“To our surprise he offered to come along and perform for us on the day, which is brilliant.

“Having a Britain’s Got Talent star topping the bill has really added to the excitement and we are all looking forward to welcoming members of the public to Warmere Court to join our residents in a fun-filled afternoon, which will help raise money to go towards special days out.”

The fête will begin at 2pm and tickets cost £2, including food and drinks, with profits being used to fund additional activities for residents at Warmere Court.
