Anthony said: "I am intrigued by the place of story-telling in our society. It seems to me that one of things that makes us human is our capacity for language and the telling of stories.

"I grew up in a house where we did not have a TV until I was 13. Books and often story books were my TV.

"For many people, stories will mean entertainment '“ and so they are. But stories also help us to understand ourselves and our society and our culture. Stories also help us understand what religious faith is all about."
