Catch magician for perhaps last time

One of the UK’s favourite entertainers, Paul Daniels, will be packing up his box of tricks for what could be the very last time this Autumn… well, one of the very many last times, we hope… in a magically mammoth national ‘first farewell’ tour.

The magician will be coming to Hastings’ White Rock Theatre on September 21.

From the moment he burst onto our screens, Paul’s magic shows have topped the ratings.

From this month, Paul will be travelling the nation with a brand new show full of his old favorite magic tricks and a number of new tricks never performed in public before.

He will, of course, be joined by the very lovely Debbie McGee.

Their last live show, Hair Today Gone Tomorrow, garnered critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Festival and countrywide.

From Legend to Leg End will no doubt be another enchanted evening of incredible illusion, comedy and amazement. Because… that’s magic!

While on holiday at the age of 11, Paul read a book How to Entertain at Parties and since then has been entertaining the masses, from tricks for his fellow servicemen during his national service to audiences in their millions on prime time TV.

Opportunity knocked in 1970 when Paul was spotted by a TV producer and he was soon hosting his own show The Paul Daniels Show (BBC1) with his future wife Debbie McGee.

Debbie’s career has spanned the widest range of show business genres, incorporating classical ballet, modern dance, cabaret, theatre, television and films.

Once back in the UK she went into the more commercial side of dance and appeared on many TV light entertainment shows and even toured with ABBA.

Tickets for the show at the White Rock Theatre are £18.50, available from whiterocktheatre.org.uk or by calling 01424 462288.
