Celebrating music in Bexhill

MUSICAL groups in Bexhill are invited to sign up for this year’s Festival of Music, which will run throughout June.

Bexhill Festival of Music has become something of a tradition for the town, with schools, clubs, local organisations, choirs, churches, charities and community groups coming together to celebrate the various musical talents of Bexhill.

The festival was founded on celebration, participation, access, and quality.

Within this framework, the objectives are as follows: To further Bexhill’s identity as a cultural destination; to celebrate the rich talent of its community; to engage musical education as a core element; to bring world-class performers to Bexhill; to increase local and regional tourism, and to benefit the local economy.

Co-ordinator Tony Mansi said: “This is a wonderful month-long festival which can do so much for our wonderful town of Bexhill.

“It is a real opportunity for the people of Bexhill to come together and join in, whether you are taking part or just watching.

“We have had great support in the past and we hope that 2012 will be as good, if not better.

“We always strive to be better.
