Celebrating the Red Ladies in photography
An unexpected delight of this year’s Coastal Currents Arts Festival was the arrival of the Red Ladies - an undisclosed number of identically dressed women infiltrating Hastings to undertake a series of urgent missions.
Zoom Arts shadowed the Red Ladies throughout the day and captured their encounters with the people of Hastings, their convergences in public spaces and their sudden evacuation following instructions from a helicopter hovering over The Stade.
From Saturday 24th – Saturday 31st October Zoom will be showing photographs from the day at their new gallery space in Kings Road, St Leonards-on-Sea next to Warrior Square Station at their Red Ladies Exhibition, open daily 10.30am to 4pm.
The exhibition is free and all are welcome.
