Choir celebrates 65th birthday

Rehearsals are just about to get underway for an exciting 65th year in prospect for the Mid Sussex Choir.

Spokeswoman Diana Mackay said: “To celebrate our 65th birthday in December we will be performing a Carol Concert, with audience participation for all the family, on December 17 at St Wilfrid’s Church, Haywards Heath. This will be followed in late January by a classical concert including Rossini’s Petite Messe Solonelle with another concert planned for April.

“Last year was a successful one for the choir with an increased membership, but we would warmly welcome new singers (any voice) and there will be no voice test .So, if you enjoy singing and would like to join our friendly group do come along.

“The Choir will start rehearsing for their Winter Season on Wednesday September 7 at 7.45 pm at the Methodist Church, Perrymount Road, Haywards Heath.”
