Choir’s first official concert this month

The newly formed Hastings Sinfonia will be performing its first official concert on Saturday, July 19 from 7.30pm at St John the Evangelist, in Brittany Road, St Leonards.

Founded by composer Polo Piatti and comprising of local talented amateur and professional musicians, the orchestra will be playing wonderful and inspiring works by Beethoven, Mascagni, Puccini, Tobani, Verdi, Vaughan Williams and Piatti.

Great guest soloists include Lithuanian tenor Gediminas Varna, who studied at La Scala and has performed worldwide including New York and Milan and Thomasine Tresize, professional soprano from Brighton. Tickets are £8 and children under 12 free. Advance tickets at Tourist Information Centre, Aquila House and Phoenix and Plum, in Kings Road, St Leonards.
