Amanda discovered Edgar lives in a fading Northern seaside town and despite having turned his back on the spirit world, he agrees to an interview. As Edgar tells Amanda the story of his life and his supernatural abilities, he unearths her own terrible secret and the mismatched pair slowly learn why they have been drawn together.

As they discover what’s at stake and how important the decisions they make over the long dark night ahead will be, the eerie image of a small boy appears in the mottled mirror above Edgar’s fireplace, growing stronger and getting angrier.

Brian Capron is best known for his role as Richard Hillman in ITV’s Coronation Street for which he won a number of awards including five Soap Awards including Best Actor and Best Villain. He also starred in four series of BBC’s Grange Hill and three series of ITV’s Where The Heart Is.

Cathy Shipton is known to television audiences for playing Sister Lisa ‘Duffy’ Duffin in BBC’s Casualty between 1986 and 2004. She has since had guest leads in Taggart, Doctors, The Bill and One Foot In The Grave.
