Family resonances for the Counterfeit Stones drummer

A TRIP to Horsham will have family resonances for Counterfeit Stones drummer John Prynn when the band plays the Capitol on April 2.Where John will be drumming in the great Charlie Watts style, his mum used to go and watch James Cagney films during the war back in the days when it was the ABC cinema.

"My mother spent the war years in Horsham," John explains. "She went there as part of the war effort. She went there to work for the Ministry of Supply."

John's own Horsham mission will be to help deliver the Stones' classic back catalogue in their own inimitable way '“ a mix of spot-on authenticity and hilarious chat between the tracks. The tongue will be in their cheeks for some of the night, but the music itself will be as close to the originals as you could possibly hope for.
