Celebrate romance through February

Following the success of its popular '˜Summer in Winter' film season in January St Mary In The Castle is now showing a selection of love films to celebrate the month of St Valentine.

Every Friday night there will be screened some of the greatest love films of all time, starting with David Lean’s Brief Encounter this evening (Friday February 5) followed by Amelie starring Audrey Tautou on February 12, When Harry met Sally with Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan on February 19, and ending with Hollywood classic musical On the Town featuring Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra on February 16.

Venue Manager Sean Berkeley said: “It’s a really romantic setting to watch a movie, with a bottle of sparkling wine, beneath the domed roof, and to make it even more romantic we will be giving away free homemade Valentine cookies for the Amelie screening.” Film stars 7pm, tickets available from www.musicglue.com/stmaryinthecastle. To add to this month of love St Mary In The Castle will host a Valentines Jazz Breakfast on Sunday February 14 with Chris Hutchinson and Rachel Bundy from 11am.
