Finale of annual concert series

The grand finale of the Holy Trinity Lunchtime Concert Series is a performance by Opera South East, mezzo-soprano Karen McInally.

The concert will take place on Wednesday, August 28, at 1.10pm, at Holy Trinity Church, Trinity Street, Hastings.

Karen sang at Glyndebourne recently in the acclaimed community production Imago and will take on the role of Suzuki in the autumn production of Madam Butterfly by Opera South East.

For her lunchtime recital Karen is singing in French, German and Russian as well as English.

Piano accompaniment will come from Nigel Howard.

The series of concerts is in its 23rd year, and is modelled on the St Martin-in-the-Fields format of free 40-minute sessions.

Refreshments will be available to purchase and there will be a retiring collection, though admission is free of charge.

The lunchtime concert series has this year featured piano, organ, violin, guitar, and of course, voice.
