Folk legend arrives

Arundel’s Willows Folk Club welcomes folk legends Martyn Wyndham-Read & No Man’s Band on Wednesday, October 5.

Club spokesman Chris Davis said: “A long-standing friend of the Willows, Martyn Wyndham-Read is one of the most towering figures in folk music.

“English by birth, Martyn is perhaps best-known for his critically-acclaimed work showcasing folk songs from Australia. Although a country often overlooked as a source of fine folk material, Martyn has been showcasing the wondrous, melodic beauty of Australian folk song for over 30 years, resulting in the production of more than 30 albums, many considered classics of their genre.
