Folk rockers to appear at St Mary’s

Folk rock pioneers Steeleye Span are back with a new live show and a new project, coming to St Mary in the Castle, Hastings, on Saturday, December 7.

Maddy Prior, the voice of the band for 38 years, leads a line-up featuring Steeleye stalwart, former Hastings resident and fiddler extraordinaire Peter Knight, Rick Kemp on bass, Julian Littman on guitars, Richard Thompson’s right hand man, and multi-instrumentalist, Pete Zorn, and ‘local lad’ Liam Genockey on the drum stool.

Currently collaborating with renowned author Terry Pratchett on a new record based on his Wintersmith novel, this show in the beautiful setting of St Mary in the Castle, will see them debuting new gems alongside the classics that have made them one of the most successful British folk rock bands ever.
