The grappler known as Wild Boar will be one of the stars in action when the Worthing Assembly Hall stages the annual battle for the Rumblemania Trophy next Thursday, August 28.

The all-in spectacular, in which the wrestlers can only be eliminated by being thrown out of the ring over the top rope and the last man standing is the winner, is one of the most popular events in the wrestling calendar.

It’s a format where almost anything can happen... and usually does!

It’s wrestling’s equivalent of a destruction derby, and appropriately the event is sponsored every year by Angmering stock car promoters the Oval Race Club.

Wild Boar will be attempting to destroy his opponents and leave the arena with the trophy, which has been won by some of the biggest names in the business in its long history, including arguably his main rival in next week’s field, “Wonder Kid” Jonny Storm.

Premier Wrestling Federation title-holder and high flyer Storm was victorious back in 2008, while another top star, current young wrestler of the year “Dazzling” Darrell Allen, will be trying to repeat his surprise win of last year and retain the title.
