The big Saturday night spectacular, on June 6, which is being presented by Worthing Assembly Hall matchmakers Premier Promotions, will feature an international contest between two of the UK’s leading girl wrestlers.

‘Little Miss Dynamite’ Erin Angel, pictured above, who has wrestled in the USA and Canada, is set to take on the towering Jamaican grappler Amazon, who regularly tours Japan and the Far East, in one half of a huge double-top-of-the-bill event.

The other main bout will see the Sussex debut of awesome new star Crusher Curtis, who will be one a quartet of super-heavyweight battlers in action, all of whom weigh at around the 20-stone mark.

Curtis will be partnered by another bearded giant, ‘Man Mountain’ Karl Atlas, when they collide head-on with the team of Southern Area champion Kris Kay and one of the biggest men in wrestling, 6ft 7in James Kenna, in a clash that is certain to rock the sports centre to its foundations.

Among the other star names taking part will be two former Premier Wrestling Federation title holders ‘Pocket Hercules’ Wade Fitzgerald and Andy Boy Simmonz.

Organiser Olly Stewart, deputy manager at the centre, said: “Everyone is really looking forward to the show, especially the girls and the tag match, but we are a bit worried about the impact of 80-stones’ worth of wrestlers in the ring at the same time.

“I think the promoters might have to consider bringing in a specially reinforced ring for the night.”

Tickets for the show, which starts at 7.30pm, are available from the Portslade Sports Centre – telephone 01273 411100 to book.
