We shall be exploring the history of these two connected movements through the applied arts and also through architecture, fashion and ballet.
Thirza has lived in Paris for 40 years. A post-graduate of the Sorbonne, and author of the three-volume series 'Around and About Paris' and of 'Romantic Paris'. She lectures throughout the world and contributes to various publications, television and radio, notably the BBC and the Cultural Channel (France). She also conducts NADFAS tours in Paris.

We meet at the Arthur Easton Centre in the grounds of St Michael's Hospice, Upper Maze Hill, St Leonards-on-Sea on the third Monday in every month (except July and August) at 2.30pm prompt. Tea is served after the lectures. Visitors are always welcome (4.50 per visit) with a view to becoming members.
