SUPPER with Soroptimists, a fund-raising event held last Friday at St Peter's Community Centre, was thoroughly enjoyed by all who came along.

The Bohemian Ukulele Band is hugely talented and everyone was clapping and tapping their feet to the wide range of songs they entertained with.

A big thank you must go to them as they gave their time free to help Soroptimists International raise funds for the East Sussex Disability Association.

We are also grateful to all those who donated items for the raffle and auction including Sainsbury's, Woolworths, G M Matthews butchers, Destinations, Di Paolo Caf, My Handbag Shop and members of the CAB.

Almost 500 was raised on the night and we hope to boost this with more fundraising efforts during the coming months.

The next social meeting is on February 9 at 7.30pm at St Michael's Hospice when the guest speaker will be Bexhill High School principal Mike Conn talking about education.
