SIR Christopher Frayling will give the second annual Chichester Art Lecture when he discusses the Hollywood History Of Art on October 30 at 7.30pm at the Minerva Theatre,

Neil Lawson Baker, chairman of the Chichester Open Art Competition, said: “Many were disappointed last year as seats sold out early, there being only 283 places available in The Minerva.

“Please book early to avoid missing this evening which will mark the first night of Chichester’s 14th National Open Art Exhibition. Book too for dinner after the lecture on 01243 782 219. It will be a busy evening!

“The Duke of Richmond opens the exhibition sometime after 6pm on Saturday, October 30 and the lecture will be introduced by Lord Young at 7.30pm.

“The prize giving will be a separate occasion for 2010 on Friday, October 29 when there will be an artist’s preview presided over by The Mayor of Chichester.”

Sir Christopher Frayling is a former Rector of the Royal College of Art and Chairman of the Arts Council and brother of The Dean of Chichester.
