The church on Springfield Road, Horsham has put on a free public art exhibition of a sculptor’s own experience of cancer.
Jean Parker became seriously ill with cancer 15 years ago and explored the transitional phases of her grief in her sculpture.
She said: “Each day I did a small head which reflected how I was. I just started with what I felt, and half-way through I realised I was describing the grief process.”
Also on show are ‘The Garments of Gethsemane’, a piece of Christian art featuring four garments exploring suffering and hope.
