Jenny on anew tour

JENNY Éclair, newly returned to the stand-up comedy circuit, will be taking to the stage at Worthing’s Pavilion Theatre with her new tour Old Dog New Tricks on Friday, October 22.

“With her trademark high-octane performances and earthy, eyebrow-raising routines, Jenny is regarded as one of the country’s best loved stand-up comediennes and was the first woman to win the coveted Perrier Award,” says spokeswoman Gemma Nethersole.

“She is also a writer and broadcaster who started out writing punk poetry and performing in a band called Cathy La Crème and the Rum Babies. After a career change to stand-up, Jenny adopted the name Éclair while pretending to be French in Blackpool.

“She is the Grumpy Old Women team captain, author and actress best-known for Skins and The Bill. In Old Dog New Tricks she also reveals that she is 50 years old and trying not to mind.

“Jenny laments her new age-bracket with trademark honesty in the new tour. She confesses to missing the days when her addiction was cocaine, not the Marks and Spencer’s Per Una range and is crudely funny in the directness of her confessions.”
