Keith Jack – A Little Bit More Of Me came out last November, just before his stint as Prince Charming over Christmas.

But now with panto behind him, it’s back to the day job for Keith who came to fame when he was runner-up to Lee Mead in the BBC reality talent show Any Dream Will Do in 2007.

“It’s an album I have always wanted to do,” Keith says. “There are a few pop songs, a few musicals songs. It is just me and a piano for accompaniment.”

As Keith says, you can get a full orchestra behind you if you have got thousands and thousands of pounds to throw at your album; if not, you go down the route of synth tracks – a route he certainly didn’t want to take.

Instead he went for the piano option, one, as he says, which is a great combination with the human voice: “And also, people are saying that sometimes it sounds like more than a piano.”

The tracks are ‘Will you still love me tomorrow’, ‘Giants in the sky’, ‘Close every door’, ‘Don’t you worry child’, ‘You make me feel so young’, ‘With you’, ‘Colours of the wind’, ‘Marry me a little’, ‘I’m gonna be (500 miles)’, ‘Till I hear you sing’ and ‘A little bit more of me’.

In other words, it’s an album which sums up where Keith has come from, where he is now and where he is going – as the concert in Horsham will make clear.

“For Horsham, I will have a three-piece band. The way we are doing the show, it’s a little bit songs from the theatre and who I was. Act two is the album and where I am now and where I want to be, a look at a couple of years of my career. It’s the story of the past 26 years of my life really! It’s about looking at where my inspiration comes from.”

Which means you can expect the context. Keith likes to chat.

“I like to bring the audience into something. I don’t want to just come in singing. I want to bring out the full story.

“There is a lot of stuff that I haven’t told people about the songs, songs I haven’t sung yet, songs I want to sing... and the lovely thing is that it is all straight after panto!”
