The walk is the brainchild of The Mewes Veterinary Clinic, which is inviting singles and their pets to meet on Saturday February 15, at 9.45am at the Wheatsheaf Pub, in Cuckfield for a 10am start.

Practice principal, Julia Mewes, says: “We wanted to create a fun way for singles who own dogs to meet each other in a relaxed, unpressured way, along with their beloved pets.

“It can be difficult to find the right partner these days, so we thought if we organised a Valentine’s walk it would give people with similar interests a chance to meet each other and even find romance.

“Of course dogs are known for their sixth sense, too, so who knows? Your canine could play Cupid this Valentine’s and find just the right person for you!”

After the walk, The Mewes Veterinary Clinic is inviting everyone back to the pub for a relaxed coffee and cake, on them.

The Mewes Veterinary Clinic is an independent practice based at 4 Hayward Road and has been established in Haywards Heath for 17 years.

Julia says: “We’re passionate about providing the best for every pet that comes through our doors. We like to spend more time with people and their pets.

“We spend more time talking with them and like to show that we care in lots of different ways.

“Even if you don’t find love, The Mewes Veterinary Clinic Valentine’s Walk could be a fun way to spend a Saturday morning, if you’re single, own a dog and are looking for something to do at the weekend.”
