In an evening filled with merriment and Christmas cheer Liane will be joined by the musical virtuoso Joe Stilgoe, trumpeter James McMillan, bassist Steve Pearce, drummer Mark Fletcher and the Orchestra of East Sussex Youth Strings.

They will be playing especially commisioned arrangements from Chris Walden, who is the top arranger in Los Angeles, arranging for the likes of Michael Buble, Barbra Streisand.

Described by Jamie Cullum as “one of the greatest singers we have in this country” Liane will be performing songs from her latest recording Ballads and selected Christmas songbook favourites.

When it was released earlier this year, Ballads reached the number one spot in the iTunes and Amazon jazz charts.

Following the success of the album launch at St Mary in The Castle in Hastings, in April, and the collaboration with the East Sussex students, has led to similar “Liane with Strings” concerts in London and more planned for next year in Manchester and Scotland.

Tickets are £15-£17.50. Call 01424 229 111 or visit www.dlwp.com.
