Little Common Royal British Legion, Women's Section

MRS Hilary Turner was in the chair and welcomed 63 members, a little depleted due to 'the bug' and colds. Our secretary gave an amusing and informative report and when the treasurer gave her report she asked the floor if we could send monies to HQ and area.

A letter was read from Mrs Daphne Tebbs thanking us for presents etc on her retirement as secretary, after many years service.

Other future days out were discussed and our holiday finalised. The raffle was drawn, sales table visited and then our speaker was introduced.

Mr Hoad said his talk was taking us on a mystery tour with slides.

The area went in a circle going from Bexhill along the coast into Kent, to the Broads and then came west and closed the circle back in Bexhill.

Showing places of interest etc on the way.

As it was an evening tour price 3/6d and a selection of old buses etc, transported in time a little as well (well worth 3/6d to do it all in one evening the clock must have stopped).

It was extremely interesting and took people to times and places in their lifetime.

Very much enjoyed by all a lovely Travelscope.

Next meeting second Wednesday evening in the month at the British Legion, Little Common. New members welcome.
