On Saturday August 9, Battle of the Bands will return to its former site in Horsham Park, where the competition enjoyed several popular years.

Organisers hope that bringing the competition to the Human Nature Garden will bring crowds back to the event, which has suffered from waning popularity in recent years.

Co-organiser Matt Andrews said: “Horsham BOTB has been close to the hearts of many in the local community for over 20 years.

“When we heard the HDLMA (Horsham District Live Music Alliance) were considering dropping the event from the music calendar a few of us old-timers put our heads together and built a proposal for the committee.

“They liked the idea of a revamped competition and agreed for a new sub-committee to take ownership of organising the event.”

There are new prizes to be won including a professional music video and photo shoot, studio time, and an iTunes single release package.
