New monthly comedy club kicks off

IN its short five-year history Pull The Other One (PTOO) has presented the likes of Jo Brand, Arthur Smith, Omid Djalili, Stewart Lee and Felix Dexter in unusual and underused buildings.

Comedy lovers can expect nothing less when PTOO arrives at St Mary-in-the-Castle to give a classic evening of extravagant comedy and variety, starting off a new monthly club.

For five years the PTOO team has been championing shows of diverse entertainment ranging from surreal established stand-up to the downright silly. To kick off the season, PTOO presents the enigmatic Simon Munnery, the extraordinary Sol Bernstein, and acts from the speciality circuit including Dr Brown.

Following on from this, on Friday, November 11, PTOO will be presenting Stewart Lee with Vincent Figgins, the Edwardian animal impersonator.

And Friday, December 16 sees the rarely glimpsed genius of Oram and Meeten hosting the Grand World Mime Final championship.

For next Friday’s performance, doors open at 7.30pm and the show starts at 8.30pm. Tickets are £12.50.
