New music is a dream for local resident Maggie
De Monde enjoyed chart success in the ‘80s with her bands Swans Way (Soul Train) and Scarlet Fantastic with the track No Memory becoming a club classic in the ‘90s; the track has been remixed and released several times by different labels.
She toured extensively in Europe and appeared on all the pivotal TV shows of the time including Top of the Pops, The Tube, The Old Grey Whistle Test, and MTV. Maggie’s first ever band appeared on TV with fellow Brummies Duran Duran and supported them on tour as their single Planet Earth hit the charts.
