Ore’s stage festival is growing in popularity

Ore Stage Festival returns for its eigth year at the Milligan Theatre, Love Lane, Rye, from Tuesday May 26 to Saturday May 30.

Starting in 2008, this festival has grown each year in popularity and is known for its smooth running and friendly atmosphere.

The festival is a song and dance extravaganza and has solo, duet and group sections in ballet, national, character, tap, modern, song & dance, Greek or natural movement, lyrical modern and street dance.

There are classes in a wide range of these disciplines and ages range from babies up to adults.

Although she has retired from regular teaching, Wendy Cameron remains Festival Director, with the help of many friends.

Wendy is delighted to welcome Carol Ball as her adjudicator this year. Carol is from Hastings and still working in the West End, films and tv, and is an examiner for ISTD.

Sessions are at 2pm on Tuesday, at 9am, 2pm and 6pm on Wednesday to Friday, and at 9am on Saturday. The Saturday session will be follow by the award of cups and bursaries. More information at www.orestagefestival.com.
