Organ concert series continues

The next performer on the Father Willis Organ in All Saints Church, Hastings Old Town, on Monday, August 12, will be Stephen Disley.

He returns to Hastings after his debut in the organ concert series last year when he was received with great enthusiasm. Stephen is the sub-organist of Southwark Cathedral in London where he is the founding director of the girls’ choir. With them he has travelled to Europe and Scandinavia.

He also has also performed with BBC Singers and the choristers of King’s College Cambridge in the Royal Albert Hall.

Stephen has released CDs and DVDs to critical acclaim. He has been involved with the John Armitage Memorial Trust (JAM) since 2008. He is an instrumental tutor at the City of London School and a former council member of Friends of Cathedral Music.

His performance on Monday will include music by Bach, Charpentier, Guilmant, Listz, Daquin, Karg Elert and Bovet among others.

The concert begins at 7.30pm.

Tickets at the door are £8 and refreshments are available during the interval.
