“The Guildford Summer Youth Project returns after last year’s productions of Guys And Dolls Jr and Oklahoma with even more summer theatre courses. This year will see the first two-week project where young people will have the chance to perform the classic musical Oliver.

“Taking place between Monday, August 1 and Saturday 13, participants will spend two weeks rehearsing and learning this popular show under the guidance of a highlyskilled, professional production team. At the end of the two weeks, there will be three fully-staged performances at The Electric Theatre to a paying audience, from Thursday, August 11 to Saturday 13.”

Other Guildford Summer Youth Project workshops include Disney’s High School Musical Jr where young people have the chance to put on a show in a week.

“Bursting with energy and catchy tunes, this popular show is suitable for ages 8 to 16 years and runs from Monday, July 25 to Friday 29. New to The Electric Theatre this year is a week-long workshop specifically for ages five to eight years, running from Monday, August 8 to Friday 12. With jazzy toe-tapping songs and a delightful story, Disney’s The Aristocats Kids will enthral, entertain and challenge young children. The children will be taught by a professional team and will present a full performance onstage at The Electric Theatre to family and friends on the final day.”
