Picnic time for teddy bears ...

Children flocked to the South Downs Light Railway clasping their favourite teddy bears for a yummy picnic and a ride on the steam train.

The sun beamed down on the Pulborough Garden Centre on Saturday and Sunday, July 27 and 28, as children took part in fun activities, including the ‘Hunt the Teddy Competition’.

Every child who brought their best fluffy toy received a free ride on the train.

Parents brought their own picnics and looked on as the kids piled onto the train and the conductor took them around the centre.
