The gallery has 6 exhibition spaces, specialising in the visual arts. The building dates back to the 13th C. In 1971 the Chichester Centre of Arts Limited was founded, and started repairing the building that had become derelict.

South Harting, West Sussex GU31 5QB

South Hating is home to Beacon Hill which is one of the highest points in the South Downs. As well as this it is also home to Uppark, and elegant mansion built in 1680. HG Wells’s mother used to work there, and her author son often visited due to its exquisite library. The mansion was partly destroyed in a fire in 1989, but fortunately the National Trust restored it. Anthony Trollope also lived in South Harting, and his pen can be found in their infamous copper spiked church.

The canal runs from London to Portsmouth, but today it is not in full use, and the Wey and Arun Trust are slowly restoring it in sections. 3 miles of canal is open at Loxwood, and on weekends during the months of April and October you can take boat trips along it.
