Polo Piatti invited to compose for Queen

Hastings-based composer Polo Piatti has been made a member of the Royal Society Of Musicians Of Great Britain in a ceremony in London.

He has also been “very honoured” to be commissioned to compose a new orchestral piece to commemorate the Queen’s 90th Birthday. Entitled Duty Sublime, it will be performed by the Hastings Sinfonia, the orchestra he founded in 2012, during the Midsummer Fish Fest in the Stade Open Space in Hastings Old Town during the morning of June 25 at 11am.

Polo is looking forward to the public hearing Duty Sublime, conducted by Derek Carden, which will be played again at St John the Evangalist on July 16 at 7.30pm.
