Roger, the new leader of Arundel and Barnham’s Lions

ARUNDEL, Barnham and District Lions Club’s newly-elected president is Roger Dean.

Roger has a background in the legal profession and throughout his working life managed to fill what little spare time he had helping those in his community less fortunate than himself.

On retirement and when he moved in 2002 to Arundel, it was inevitable that he would want to join the Lions. He soon became club secretary and then served his first spell as president.

Roger, described by club spokesman John Taylor as “passionate about charitable causes”, has already chosen the charities he would like the club to help in his year as president – Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice, at Poling, and the Sussex Air Ambulance Appeal.
