SAMS Social Active and MS - June 13

ON May 31 we had a very good collection day at Sainsbury's St Leonards, with many new members assisting with the collection and very generous shoppers donating a grand total of £884.60. Thanks to everyone that contributed.

Tuesday the 2nd (Coronation Day) we went to London by minibus, not to see the Queen but to take our "flight" on the London Eye. We arrived in London well before planned, and so managed to get straight on the London Eye with no queueing at all. Although the weather could have been better, we did have excellent views over London. After the flight many of the group went sight-seeing on the Thames, whilst others took a break before returning to the bus for a very prompt return to Hastings.

Meanwhile we have all been collecting items to sell at our multi-group garage sale at 38 Terminus Road, Bexhill on June 28. Everything from auto-jumble and garden tools to vacuum cleaners and cuddly toys will be on sale with the proceeds going to Bexhill 100 Motoring Club, MS Society Hastings and Rother and Bexhill Caring Community. Several members of the group are planning a sponsored tandem parachute jump in July and are still eagerly seeking sponsors. Please contact 01424 731594 if you would like to sponsor us.

Things are still going very well for the Sidley Cricket Club Charity Match on August 10. Neil Cunningham and Ian Mollart are putting together what promises to be a great family day out, with all the proceeds from food, soft drinks and beverages to the MS Society Hastings and Rother.
