Sidley Friendship Club

GUEST speaker at our monthly meeting on Monday, October 18, was former mayor and local baker, Stuart Earl, who talked about the League of Friends of Bexhill Hospital, of which he is chairman.

He said that over the year the League had

assisted many organisations in securing equipment for the care and treatment of patients in hospital.

It was proposed that club membership should be open to all people who live or have lived in Sidley. Various topics were discussed.

members - all of whom were re-elected - helpers, the lady running the raffle and the lady who does the teas.

The entrance fee has been raised to £2 to help with finances. It has also been agreed that there will be no meeting in August, as most people seem to be on their holidays then.

Various outings were spoken about, and

also the many speakers we have had over the year.

The next meeting is on Monday, November 15. The club minutes were signed and approved and witnessed by Mr Earl.
