Slideshow: Horsham anthem’s first public performance
HORSHAM shoppers were treated to the first ever public performance of the town’s new anthem on Saturday when a volunteer choir took to the bandstand in the Carfax to perform the song ‘Horsham Town’.
Singer/songwriter Ben Chambers, whose song Horsham Town was picked as the winner of the recent Song for Horsham competition, performed the song live supported by the 30 strong volunteer choir.
Each volunteer is expected to have raised at least £100 in sponsorship with many raising as much as £300 for the Horsham 100 charity, which this year is supporting the Dame Vera Lynn Trust for Children with Cerebral Palsy.
