"We warmly invite you to visit three of our wonderful heritage properties during the course of Heritage Open Days where there will be no admission charge and visitors can discover for themselves the fascinating history behind each of them.

"Lewes Castle is a Norman castle built after the Battle of Hastings by supporters of William the Conqueror. Anne of Cleves House, also in Lewes, is a stunning timber-framed Tudor house given to Anne of Cleves at the end of her short-lived marriage to Henry VIII.

"Marlipins Museum, in Shoreham-by-Sea, meanwhile, is Britain’s oldest secular building, which houses a unique collection of maritime artefacts. Whether you are coming as an old friend or a first-time visitor, we look forward to welcoming you to each of these historic buildings for Heritage Open Days.”

No pre-booking is required for any of Sussex Past’s Heritage Open Days events.
